"Spring"-ing Into Sparkleshire

That's what a Third Grade Class in Massachusetts is doing! Their ingenious teacher is encouraging children to read the origin story, ENJELLA UPROOTED,EXPLORE THE MAGIC take their books home and ask their parents to read along with them. As the students read each chapter, they write their their thoughts, comments, likes and dislikes on sticky notes provided by their teacher. And the teacher has sent along pads for the parents! That's right, parents are reading along at home, writing notes, and starting a dialogue with their kids over the events in Sparkleshire. Maybe even sketching their impressions of the characters' appearance,aliciamuch like our new illustrator David Trumble did to help us "picture" them! Our newly illustrated edition of the origin story is in the proofreading stage of re-publication. Life is a work in progress!It excites and warms all the corners of my writer's heart to hear that my story is being read and enjoyed and bringing families together! WINGS UP to all these fleeple -- exploring new worlds through reading and sharing the joy of that adventure with their parents!
