CelebrateBooks QuickPicCelebrate Books Week started in Ossining, NY, a small town north of New York City, as a way to encourage readers to share their favorite stories with friends. Always following Memorial Day, Celebrate Books week is enjoyed by adults who revisit beloved stories and kids who are introduced to new ones. Have you ever stopped to think about how influential books are in your life?

Everyone in the reading community comes together to help get the word out. Online, people share favorite titles and characters using the hashtag #CelebrateBooks. Authors and Illustrators post pictures of their most cherished works. Bookstores and libraries share their special deals and classic titles.
